Well everyone, we broke a record this week and played 4 shows in 2 days: 1) 88.3 WCBN FM Ann Arbor, 2) the Blind Pig, 3) the Union and 4) a benefit concert to help raise money for a school in Senegal. The radio show was a great experience. The band owes Jason, Kevin, Alex and everyone at WCBN a big thanks for making us feel at home from the minute we got there. We stripped down to acoustic guitars, hand drums and brushes and played an intimate set which included two new songs: Khalela and Hollywood. We also gave Ann Arbor a taste of the some EP songs freshly mixed by Eric Hoegemeyer of Rustbelt Studios. After that, we played a set at the Blind Pig with The Dirty Birds and The Dry County Boys, which are two great local bands we are friends with. The amount of fun everyone had was unprecedented and the night was surely one that will go down in the Light in August history books. Special thanks to the LIA hype-squad (Megan, Stef, Sean, Zach, Rich) for helping us out and for being there with us!
